Ohh… my first rant… coolness
Most people run only one rant section! I'm going to run two! HAHA!!! This particular rant area will pertain to anything having to do with my life or murf-STUFF in general. A journal if you will, but still a rant space. The other area for ranting will appear in the upcoming Intentionally Left Blank site. Those rants will pertain to anything related to I-L-B. But somethings will encompass both me and I-L-B [like convention attendence], so they'll be mentioned in both spots to make sure you don't miss anything. But expect most rants to appear here.
Personally, I'm kind of hoping people will come thru here first and bookmark this page as opposed to the other pages, so I've added that spiffy little “Recent Updates” notice up top to try a keep people veiwing here so you won't have to go trudging through 3 different places to see what's been updated. I'll keep the past 4 updates posted, that way you'll know if you've missed something between visits. Anyway, let me get on with my introduction rant.
Some of you may already be familiar with my works as a maker of AMVs, a guest strip artist at RealLife, and my few FanArts and Wallpapers at RPGamer. If you haven't seen these, everything but the AMVs will be here for your viewing pleasure at some point in the near future. The AMVs however, will stay on AnimeMusicVideos.org. If you're a member, you can watch them. So you may know me from these places, then again… maybe not…
I was also once a member of the DragonBall Z online community, with a site known as “Murf's DBZ FanStop” [note the capitalization on my name, not a typo] (a site dedicated to DBZ related fanstuffs). I also ran a website called “FanDubbers Inc.” during the days when I was interested in voice acting. These are fairly old sites that don't exsist anymore, but you may also know me from there, then again… maybe not…
And you may have met another digital incarnation of me in the world of Vana'diel (otherwise known as Final Fantasy XI: Online). Within this great game, you may have seen a female (that's right, a girl) Tarutaru named Aqualin on the Bismarck Server. If you've seen “her,” it's really a him named murf. If you DO see me… send me a /tell and say “Hey! I've been to your website called murf-STUFF!” Be sure to say that exactly, or you'll get a stern lesson in why not to send typos my way. My poor LinkShell members already know the consequences of typos.
So, regardless of wether or not you've seen my stuff before, I welcome you to this haven of new stuff that I've made for not just my personal enjoyment, but for your enjoyment as well, even if it is only a side effect from me making it in the first place.
I've worked hard to get the murf-ART section of the site in a workable condition. It's full of mostly things I already had on my computer, so older stuff may sneak in with the newer stuff. So if you see a slight degradation in my skills, that's why.
I've begun working on the Intentionally Left Blank DEMO Site. Why a demo? Because I'm not quite ready to begin a regular production schedule, although I intend to go for updates on Sunday and Thursday, as these seem to be days when other Webcomics don't have regular updates so it gives you something to read on off-days. My main inspiration for ILB comes from two of my favorite webcomics: MacHall and RealLife. So it's one of those “me and my friends doing random things” style of webcomics. Hardly original I know… but it seems to be a formula that works, so I'll run with that for now. But at least the demo will give you an idea of what to expect with the 2 strips I've made so far. Should be ready soon…
That's what's planned for the immediate future, but there will be more stuff later on. Including a section for my video-work, under the name of “Nocturnal Studios.” I'll host my live-action video stuff here, not my AMVs. You'll never see my AMVs on this page. They would eat up too much space, and too much bandwidth, so don't ask.
As the site (hopefully) gains popularity, a forum may eventually be added. But I'm wary of forums and the pain they may bring to my slice of cyberspace. But it seems to be the hot thing these days for webcomics and artist sites so I'll look into it. But just don't expect one anytime soon.
And that's all I REALLY have to say for right now.
Oh yeah… I may let my buddies run rants in here too… so you might see something from them too.
