"Gomen" times like… a REALLY high number
Okay… it's been a month now…. I owe you not only a stern apology in the lack of updates, but stern apology over not even giving you anything new period. While it's all my fault, a good chunck of blame is to be placed on Square-Enix and their soul-swiling game Final Fantasy XI: Online. So allow me to tell you what happened.
First is work. I got slammed with work. Normally I work close to full time. But for about 2 weeks, I was pulling nasty overtime. I would come home and have absolutely no drive to work on the site. I mean, that is in a way… more work. And no one really wants to do more work than they have to. So instead of working on the site… I ended up starting to play FF-XI again, which I had lost a deal of interest in. Now that Harry finally moved back in, and we could play simultaneously due to having 2 phone lines, it became FAR more interesting.
Then… after work had died down. I had become so enthralled with the game again, it's all I would do. I won't lie to you… the only reason I'm updating and telling you now is that they are doing an 8 hour server maintence and I can't play. So I figured this was as good a time as any to do it.
I'm not so cold-hearted as to just give you a simple rant. I have added a new section, and decided that I've been “demoing” ILB for way too long. All I have is one strip and I've opted to just make a strip when I get ideas and post em then. I don't really think I can maintain a set 2 strip a week schedule without driving myself completly crazy. I'll get around to making everything about ILB's site working right (namely the Characters Section) later.
On another note. After much toil and trouble of harrassing friends and what not… we will be going to Baltimore, MD from July 29 – August 1 to attend Otakon 2004. Mayhaps you'll see me there if you are so inclined to attend.
So I apologize again and I'm going to do what I can in the 8 hours Square-Enix seems fit to have given me. Maybe something will get done for change… who knows….
