Theres ALWAYS room for mac and cheese
More site redesign has arrived! Head on over to murf-ART for nice new look. Go.. go on…
Anyways. Earlier this month I enjoyed my “Summer Break” from school. Woohoo… a whole FREAKING week off. So what did I do?
Well for starters, most of my new friends up and went home for the week for various reasons leaving me stranded and alone for the week (roommate included). Well, on July 4th, Talon and Shane were down here to visit family. I got invited to their big family 4 of July cookout party thingy. So I had fun there and it was good to see some familiar faces again (despite how ugly Talon may be).
I spent a fair amount of the week either: working on the redesign, doing concept work for my Final Fantasy XI doujinshi thingy, and of course playing FF-XI (and I managed to snag me a static party for a while). However, one day I was playing with my good man “Junkbunny.” I've been playing this game with him for well over a year by this point. Knowing the general area where he lived was about half a day's drive, I decided “Well, I'm not doing anything this weekend. Maybe I'll go meet Junk.” So, Friday morning, I took the 8.5 drive to Junk's home and prompty spent the weekend hanging out with the man behind the galka. It's an interesting experience to meet someone you already know for the first time. It was fun, and really cool to strengthen that bond between players/friends.
On the way back, I got to spend roughly 6 hours on the road with my buddy Dennis. He's gone now, but I won't forget how he wanted to keep playing and I was like “DAMMIT! I'm trying to drive home here! Leave me alone you stupid hurricane!”
This month has been fairly hectic. I've finally settled into life here in Florida. I just finished up month 2 at Full Sail (an overly boring class called “Computers, Math and the Internet”) and I finally start my core Digital Media classes on Tuesday of next week. I'm rather excited about that obviously.
Believe it or not, I DO have content. But I've been trying to get the whole murf-ART redesign done, and at this hour, I have little energy with which to take care of all that. It's all art, no comic I'm afraid. Speaking of the comic, I'm strongly debating just moving on for now. I can't make with the episodic funny stuffs as well as I'd like. I've got several ideas running through my mind right now, so I may just head over to a new project. We'll see about that however.
