Webcomics
People like to publish comics online instead of in print as was common in ages past. Here is a collection of online cartooning that I enjoy.
El Goonish Shive
Elliot and Tedd and there friends have whacked out adventures. Includes transforming squirrel girls, anime martial arts, random humor and of course, gender-bending fun.
Johnny Wander
Randomness from 20-something nerdy folk. That is all.
Lackadaisy Cats
I read this comic through deviantART, but either way it’s pretty awesome. It’s an anthropomorphic romp through prohibition era St. Louis. Awesome characters, and equally awesome artwork. A real treat.
MacHall
This was my favorite webcomic, mostly because of the awesome art skills of Ian McConville that turn me various shades of envious-green. The writing skills of Matt Boyd also lay shame to my own. It’s ended, but Matt and Ian have started Three Panel Soul, which is awesome too. [linked below]
Manly Guys Doing Manly Things
It’s a comic about a temp agency for, yanno, ludicrously macho guys. Which I ain’t. It’s very well drawn and really freaking funny. It mostly targets video games, but draws out to other media as well. Plus you can’t go wrong with Jared and Mr. Fish.
Order of the Stick
The adventures of a stalwart team of misfit stick-figure-eqsue folk in a D&D setting.
Penny Arcade
The definitive gaming comic. Revel in the over-the-top antics of Gabe and Tycho. Crass, violent and not for the youngun’s.
Real Life Comics
Greg Dean’s comic is geek-tastically awesome. Every caliber of geek humor can be found in it from video games to D&D to whatever. It also has a rampant tendency to shatter the 4th wall.
Rob & Elliot
Clay Yount (the artist for this strip) was the main reason I got into webcomics to begin with. His newest comic is pretty funny.
Shortpacked!
Toy’s rule! Yet, I could never imagine myself working at a toy store. Unless it was this toy store in which daily life includes Batman, Transformers, Ninjas and Ronald Reagan as a co-worker!
Sinfest
A quirky comic with a lot of societal overtures and out-right silliness. Poking fun at just about anything from politics, to religion, to the absurdity of household pets.
Surviving the World
Daily lessons in Science, Literature, Love and Life! Everything you need to get by on a day-to-day basis!
Three Panel Soul
The new comic endeavor from those MacHall guys. It’s different, but still awesome. Ian’s art and Matt’s writing never cease to amaze me.
XKCD
A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language. With stick-figure goodness!
Misc.
I find some random hodgepodge around the internet. These are sites I like to go to from time to time.
I waste most of my time here.
OverClocked Remix
What’s better than video game music? Awesome remixes made by fans, that’s what! If you like game music, you can’t miss this one!
